Bouquets of thanks to sweet Jennie for allowing me to share her fabulous tahini salad dressing recipe with you today. I find that the most incredibly flavorful recipes are those that are shared among family. Over the years we accumulate a small set of truly special recipes that have stood the test of time. They’re the ones that are requested time and again at family gatherings. It’s these precious, cherished recipes that we pass on to our children, and they to their children. This flavorful tahini salad dressing is one of those recipes. It’s counted among our family’s secret treasures. Now, thanks to Jennie, it can be your family’s too! There are only a few small differences between this recipe and the original salad dressing recipe made from scratch. I added in a sprinkling of delightful black pepper and a bit of sea salt. If you’re not familiar with tahini, it may be a little hard to locate in a grocery store when shopping for it for the first time. They will have it at your local market, but you may need to ask your grocer for some assistance with finding it on the shelf. Where I shop it was located near the organic maple syrup. You can also conveniently order tahini directly from Amazon.
A salad is just a salad until it’s brought to life with the perfect dressing. When drizzled over fresh greens and veggies, this tahini salad dressing heightens the fresh crisp flavor of the salad. It bring things to a whole new level of deliciousness. It’s the star of the show! I liken its taste to the clear sweet melody of your favorite song.

I absolutely love my nested glass mixing bowls. They come in handy for so many uses. I purchased my set at Crate and Barrel, but you can find a similar set on Amazon. Today I used the largest mixing bowl to serve my colorful salad. I used a much smaller mixing bowl to whip together the tahini salad dressing ingredients. For me it’s important that any kitchen tool I have can be used in many different ways.
I love my flat-bottom whisk that I purchased from The Pampered Chef. Above is another lovely flat-bottom whisk that’s perfect for mixing your tahini salad dressing. I bought my glass cruet at Home Goods, but here is a similar set of salad dressing dispensers with stoppers.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!! As a Southern Woman, I tend to get stuck in a rut – making the same recipes that my mother, her mother, and HER mother have always made. We get stuck and we get bored. Then, food is no longer something to enjoy. With this awesome recipe, I was able to break out of my rut and not make my boys flip out, either! This was so yummy and now I have something new in my pantry to make even more delicious recipe with – tahini!
