1 Box of Mini Candy Canes (Optional)
Recipe Directions: White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels
Preheat your Wilton’s candy melting pot for 5 minutes.
NOTE: If you don’t have a melting pot you can melt the chocolate in the microwave according to package directions, or on the stovetop. However, this recipe is so much easier and quicker to make when you have a melting pot as the chocolate remains in a melted state at just the right temperature throughout the whole preparation process. What I love most about my Wilton Melting Pot is that it’s super handy. I use it throughout the year to make a whole variety of lovely dipped appetizers and desserts. And with the pot’s removable silicone insert, clean up is quick and easy too!
Crush 12 large candy canes. Transfer the pieces to a plate or bowl.
Add the entire container of Wilton’s Candy Dips (white chocolate) to your melting pot. Stir the chocolate wafers with a spatula for about 4 minutes until the chocolate is completely melted.
With a thin spatula gently spread the melted chocolate over one pretzel rod, covering only half of the the rod with chocolate.
Sprinkle a generous portion of crushed candy canes on all sides of the chocolate-covered pretzel rod. Work quickly as the chocolate hardens fairly fast!
Place all finished rods on waxed paper as you continue making the rest. The entire batch of White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels should be completely solidified after 8-10 minutes.
Transfer the rods to a festive platter. Garnish the lower half of the White Chocolate Peppermint Pretzels with mini candy canes. Get ready to receive raving reviews of this spectacular holiday treat!
