  • Author: Denay DeGuzman
  • Total Time: 6 Minutes
  • Yield: About 1 1/4 Cup 1x

Description

Savor the magic of whipped honey butter – a heavenly blend of creamy butter and golden honey. Irresistibly smooth and sweet, it’s the perfect topping for every bite. Spread it lavishly on toast, warm rolls, cornbread, pancakes, waffles, scones and more.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • kosher salt, to taste

Instructions

Recipe Prep: Ensure that the butter is softened at room temperature. This will make it easier to whip into a smooth consistency.

  1. Place softened butter in a medium bowl. Using an electric hand mixer (or a stand mixer with a whisk attachment), whip the butter on medium-high speed until it becomes light and fluffy. This usually takes about 3 to 5 minutes.
  2. Once the butter is whipped, add the honey to the bowl. Continue whipping the mixture at medium speed until the honey is fully incorporated and the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Slowly add powdered sugar and vanilla to the bowl. Continue whipping, gradually increasing the speed to high, until everything is well combined and the mixture is fluffy – about 3 minutes. Add a pinch of salt to balance the flavors (or more to taste). Feel free to add more honey, sugar, or vanilla to achieve the desired flavor.
  4. Transfer the whipped honey butter to a small ramekin.

Notes

Should I use salted or unsalted butter? While unsalted butter is recommended to have better control over the saltiness, feel free to use salted butter if that’s what you have on hand. Just be mindful of the salt content and adjust accordingly – you may not need a pinch of salt to balance the flavors.
