Description

This classic Bloody Mary mix is the perfect drink for Sunday brunch, or to enjoy as an evening sipper. It’s tangy, crisp, spicy and bold.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Bloody Mary Mix

  • 4 ounces tomato juice
  • 1 ounce vodka
  • 1/2 ounce freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared horseradish
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce, or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon celery salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • Pinch of ground black pepper

For Rimming the Glass

  • Water
  • Sea Salt
  • Old Bay seasoning

For Garnishing (optional)

  • Celery stalk
  • Lemon wheel
  • Green olives
  • Cornichon

Instructions

Recipe Prep: Rim the cocktail glass for your Bloody Mary. Fill a small shallow bowl with water, and another bowl with 1 tablespoon coarse salt plus 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning. Dip the rim of the glass in the water, then in the Old Bay salt. Add ice to the glass, then set it aside.

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add all of the ingredients: tomato juice, vodka, lemon juice, horseradish, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, celery salt, smoked paprika, and pinches of salt and pepper to taste.
  2. Attach the lid to the cocktail shaker. Shake well until chilled and fully combined – about 30 seconds.
  3. Strain the Bloody Mary mix into the prepared cocktail glass. Garnish as desired.

Notes

For rimming the cocktail glasses: If desired, you can use Tajin or Margarita salt instead of the mix of sea salt and Old Bay seasoning.
