Description

Make this easy Guacamole Witch dip appetizer for your Halloween party. If desired (optional), double the recipe and make a Guacamole Spider Web as well. It’s the primary residence for the witch’s pet spider Boris.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Guacamole Dip Recipe

  • 3 large ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 1 (10-ounce) can RO*TEL® Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • Ground black pepper
  • Blue corn tortilla chips, for serving

For Assembling a Guacamole Witch

  • Carrots: Cut long thin strips for hair, and use the rough carrot tops for facial warts.
  • Blue corn tortilla chips: For making the witch’s hat.
  • Petite Kosher Dill Pickle: For the nose.
  • Red bell pepper: Cut a short twisted strip for the mouth.
  • Lime: Cut 2 wedges to create the eyebrows.
  • Yellow bell pepper: Cut 2 circular pieces to create sunken eye sockets.
  • Black olives: For the eyeballs. Place them on top of the bell pepper circles.

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, mash the avocados with a fork.
  2. Add the drained tomatoes, chopped onion and lime juice. Stir well to combine.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Assemble a spooky guacamole witch.
  5. Serve and enjoy with restaurant-style tortilla chips.

Notes

Guacamole Spider Web: To make this optional dip, use the same guacamole recipe. See the blog post for instructions on how to create the spider web.
