Instructions

Margarita Pitcher Recipe

Note: We save and use the empty limeade can to measure out several of the other ingredients. This method is super easy, and there are less kitchen tools to wash. But if you’ve accidentally thrown the empty can away, no worries, you can use kitchen measuring cups instead: 1 empty 12-ounce limeade can = 1.5 cups.

  1. Empty the frozen limeade into the blender. Save the empty can. We’ll use it as our measuring cup.
  2. Fill the limeade can with water. Add it to the blender. Fill the limeade can with tequila. Add it to the blender. Fill the limeade can with Jose Cuervo Margarita Mix. Add it to the blender.

  3. Fill the limeade can 1/3 full with triple sec. Add it to the blender.

  4. Using a jigger, add 1 ounce orange juice to the blender. Then add 1 ounce Presidente Brandy.

  5. Blend the ingredients on low speed. Pour the batch of Margarita mix into a drink container. For additional batches, repeat the above directions.

👨🏻‍🍳 Use this Margarita pitcher recipe to make Margaritas on the rocks or blended (frozen) Margaritas. See the instructions below.

Margaritas on the Rocks

  1. Salt the rim of a Margarita glass. Dip the rim into the Margarita mixture, then into the Margarita salt. Fill the glass 2/3 full of ice.
  2. Straight from the blender (or from a drink container), pour the pre-made Margarita mix over the ice.
  3. Drizzle Grand Marnier over the top.
  4. Garnish your classic Margarita with a wedge of lime and a straw.

Blended (Frozen) Margaritas

  1. Salt the rim of a Margarita glass. Dip the rim into the Margarita mixture, then into the Margarita salt. Then put the glass aside.
  2. Fill the blender with ice (until almost full) two inches from the top. Pour pre-made Margarita mix into the blender until the liquid is just slightly above the ice.
  3. Start blending at low speed – until the ice is crushed. Gradually increase the speed and blend until the desired texture is achieved.
  4. Pour the mixture into the salt-rimmed glass. Top with Grand Marnier. Garnish with a wheel of lime and a straw.

Notes

Drink Pitcher or Container: For large gatherings, I highly recommend a Mexican-style (5-gallon) plastic jug drink dispenser. Or for smaller parties, a 1-gallon drink dispenser that’s placed on a stand.
