These refreshing yogurt fruit ice pops bring back sweet childhood memories. Every now and then my mother would be inspired to make homemade ice pops using Tupperware popsicle molds. When those weren’t in the freezer, on summer afternoons my sister and I would scramble for coins when we heard the music of the neighborhood ice cream truck as it rounded the corner onto our street. For children, those beautiful tinkling sounds were just like the enchanting tune from the Pied Piper of Hamelin! Front doors would open and kids would come spilling out onto the sidewalk. I remember my Dad buying popsicles for all the kids who had no coins. He’s always been so generous like that!
Ingredients for Fruit Popsicles
It’s so simple and easy to make yogurt fruit ice pops! These are the 3 basic ingredients you’ll need for homemade popsicles: vanilla Greek yogurt, fresh or frozen fruit, and light agave nectar or organic honey. If you’d like to use traditional plain Greek yogurt instead, simply add 1-1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract to the mixture. The fruit I used to make these popsicles were strawberries and blueberries, but raspberries and blackberries are another great combination! The color of your ice pops will be determined by the type of fruit you use.
Homemade Popsicles
Although it’s fun to have reusable popsicle molds to create that classic ice pop shape, you if you don’t have a set you can simply use small paper cups instead. Ordinary craft sticks serve as vintage popsicle handles.
How to Make Popsicles
Place all the ingredients together in a blender. Pulse on low until the mixture reaches the desired consistency. Pour the yogurt-fruit mixture into six molds. Place a wooden craft stick in the center. I submerge the stick half way into the ice pop mixture. Freeze your ice pops until solid, about 7-8 hours. I often make these healthy popsicles on a Friday evening so they’re ready to enjoy during the weekend.
Healthy Popsicles
To remove ice pops from metal molds, simple hold the frozen mold under running water for about 10 seconds. Pull each popsicle straight up to release it. Lay the popsicles on a baking tray that’s been lined with parchment paper or waxed paper and put them back into the freezer for about 15 minutes to get them nice and hard again. Your ice popsicles are now ready to pull out of the freezer and enjoy!
Kitchen Tools for Making Fruit Popsicles
These are my favorite kitchen tools for making ice pops! I have Vitamix blenders in my California kitchen and my kitchen in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They’re not only great for making fabulous Margaritas, but for also making a whole slew of yummy recipes, including these fruit popsicles. When making homemade popsicles you can mix things up by using molds in different shapes. The metal ones below are what I used for this recipe. You can also order craft sticks in a whole rainbow of fun colors!
Yogurt Fruit Ice Pops

Ingredients
- 2 cups full-fat vanilla Greek yogurt
- 2 cups fresh or frozen berries

- Pour the mixture evenly into popsicle molds or small paper cups. Place a wooden craft stick in the middle of each ice pop. Freeze until solid, about 7-8 hours or overnight.
- To easily remove the popsicle molds, place under running water for 10-12 seconds. Holding each popsicle by its stick, pull it straight out of the mold. Transfer the popsicles to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, waxed paper or silicone mats. Place back into the freezer for 15 minutes to harden them up again.
- Serve and enjoy!
